Consistency is the least glamorous marketing advice there is. It’s also the one that works.
The algorithm gets a lot of the blame (and credit), but the real reason is simpler: people. When someone sees your name every week, you become the obvious choice on the day they’re finally ready to buy.
Perfect is slow
Most business owners have a folder of “almost ready” posts. A photo that needs a better edit, a caption that’s nearly right. A good post that goes out on Tuesday beats a perfect one that never leaves your phone.
What consistent actually looks like
- A posting rhythm you can keep for months, not a burst for two weeks.
- One look, so people recognise your posts before they read your name.
- A mix that shows the product, explains it, proves it with reviews and invites people to buy.
Where to start
If you’re posting nothing right now, start with two posts a week for a month. Plan them on Monday, schedule them and forget about them. After a month, look at what people responded to and do more of that.
The goal isn’t to go viral. It’s to be remembered.
And if you’d rather not think about it at all, that’s exactly what Golden Ideas Marketing does for clients every week.
